Mastering the Art of the Sunflower

It's truly amazing, when you gather all your supplies for your make, then half way through you have a what if moment, then it all comes together.

TH/Sizzix simple plaid on kraft heavy stock, inked with distress ink in ground espresso for the background. Cut into pieces and adhered to card base. Distress reinkers on watercolour card stock, multilevel textured fade in dotted on top, then I swiped distress archival ink over the raised embossed images.

For the greenery and blossom, I used a variety of distress inks to capture the dimension.

Stampers Anonymous crazy talk stamps are perfect for sayings. I used happy birthday. Love the font.

The centre of the blossom, is a using a dimensional dome and distress glitter (retired). This gives a nice pop to the blossom and focal point.

After many attempts, and having the light bulb moment, it all came together. Mastering the art of the Sunflower.
